POLICY:
The Board of Regents is, by statute, responsible for setting and ensuring the enforcement of requirements for the admission of students to Western New Mexico University (WNMU) (See, Chapter 21 NMSA 1978). The Regents have delegated to the Faculty the authority and responsibility to review and make recommendations in this regard.
Admission requirements must be in accordance with applicable law and are not to be regarded as a contract between the student and the WNMU. WNMU reserves the right to change any provisions or requirements at any time within the student’s term of attendance.
WNMU has established an Equal Education Opportunity Policy to comply with federal and state law and to confirm WNMU’s commitment to providing Equal Education Opportunity to all our students, on campus or remote. The WNMU Catalog provides the current requirements for admission to WNMU for all schools and colleges and their individual programs for undergraduate and graduate students. The WNMU Catalog will be maintained by Student
Affairs.
Additional requirements which govern admission to specific graduate and undergraduate programs may be obtained from the school or college in which these programs are offered.
