PURPOSE:
The purpose of this policy is to establish clear and consistent guidelines for the qualifications of staff members at Western New Mexico University (WNMU).
POLICY:
The primary credentialing guidelines for Staff qualifications were established by Western New Mexico University to ensure that all staff members, including those providing student support services are appropriately qualified, trained, and supported in their professional development. Staff members include all full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff in all departments.
MINIMUM STAFF QUALIFICATIONS BY ACADEMIC CREDENTIAL OR FACTORS OTHER THAN ACADEMIC CREDENTIAL
Every Staff position will have a corresponding Job Description. The Job Description will include the education requirements and/or experience requirements for the position. All employees hired prior to December 1, 2020, will be grandfathered in within compliance of Federal and State law.
