The purpose of this policy is to establish clear and consistent guidelines for the qualifications of staff members at Western New Mexico University (WNMU).

WNMU (Western New Mexico University) chooses to award certain staff members with Emeritus status upon retirement, in recognition of their distinguished service.

To ensure that employees conduct themselves in accordance with the expectations set forth under the Governmental Conduct Act of New Mexico (GCA).
